What's new on A Magyar Jurta

Website updates and a new photo gallery
It's been a year or better since I have paid any kind of serious attention to my sadly neglected website. In December, we moved to a new host which seemed to break the navigation, many of the pages and all of the photo galleries. The thought of trying to get everything working again proved to be seriously daunting and I decided to leave the website dormant for a while.
This week I suddenly decided that enough was enough and began working on putting things back together again. I believe that I have most pages working now, though many of them are sorely in need of an update. I hope to schedule those updates in the next few months along with finally putting up some new research in the magyar section and event photo galleries in the photo section. Many projects have also been percolating, so there may be something going on there two.
Probably one of the most important changes is the fact that the website is now on its own domain - amagyarjurta.com. If you are still linking to the old URL, then please update your bookmarks now.
And finally, in addition to getting everything working again (hopefully), I have added a brand new gallery of event photos for the Summer Investiture of the Principality of the Summits. Enjoy!

A new page
It's been a scandalously long time since I have added any new articles to this website. Bad website owner. Bad! Bad!
Rejoice ye, however. The long dry spell has been broken with the addition of a new page in Projects - My newest obsession, Glass bead making and a look at the workspace I have created.

New Photo Pages and Bibliography Update
Today I tackled the photo section, correcting and updating navigation links and adding event photos taken at four different events I attended in the fall.
I've also been on a bit of a book binge lately, so I've added my latest finds to the website's sources page. I'm constantly surprised at how many English-language books I've been able to locate on the Magyars. Information coming out of Hungary has exploded since 1996 and the 1100th anniversary of the Hungarian Conquest.

Headdress article
Whoo! Only four days and already a new article for the website. Maybe I'm on a roll.
So, buttons are cool and my new obession and all, but I needed something to keep my veil on my head besides my hat.
I've added a new article on female headdresses of the Conquest Era. Soon to follow (I hope) is a new article in projects detailing how I constructed my new headdress.

Earrings!
Finally, finally, finally, I've had some time to update a magyar jurta. September and October was spent working on the An Tir Autocrats website. That's all under control now and I've had time to complete a project I've been wanting to do since the inception of this site.
I've added an article on Conquest Era earrings and a demonstration on making your own.
Additionally, I've made a few cosmetic changes, reorganized the navigation a little bit and added a Site Map. Event photos are getting their own section, finally. Eventually, I'll like to have project photos up there too.

Autocrat section live!
One of the main sections of the website is up! Visit the Autocrats section for information and resources for event management.
Whew! That was a lot more work than throwing up a photo gallery! More to come, of course, but it's a nice start.
On the geek front - I have begun to incorporate some Pmachine PHP tools that Conchobar (my fellow medieval geek) has made available to those of us with web sites on his server.
For instance, the What's New page has been converted to a "weblog" giving me more control over the amount of information on the page, yet still allowing me to maintain a dated record of changes. Whoo!
I told you it was geeky.

New photo galleries and a notification list!
Huge geekfest today. I successfully made my first foray into the land of PHP. The power! The War College, Summits Coro-Investiture, Sport of Kings and Dragons Down photo gallerys are the fruits of my labor.
